Whole Brain Thinking
The Whole Brain ModelTM is a simple yet highly effective framework for examining the differences in the way people think. It is at the heart of LINK’s work, and consistently improves individual, team and organisational work practices.
Since its development in the 1970s, the Whole Brain Model has been extensively studied and validated, and has helped more than two million people across the world to understand the impact of different thinking styles.
The Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) measures an individual’s degree of preference in each of the four quadrants of the Whole Brain Model. The HBDI is not a psychological evaluation, nor is it a behavioural analysis. It does not aim to “pigeonhole” people, but simply provides a point-in-time snapshot of which thinking styles are most natural/comfortable/enjoyable.
The great advantage of the Whole Brain Model and the HBDI, compared to other diagnostic tools, lies in their practical applicability to a wide variety of workplace situations and domains:
- communication
- problem Solving
- teamwork
- leadership
- coaching
- client service
- interview Skills
- workshop facilitation
- strategic planning
- decision making.
