David has over twenty years experience in
people development in the corporate, community and education
sectors.
He has extensive experience and finely honed skills in group
facilitation, curriculum design, leadership development interventions,
personal coaching and has specialised in the development of
individual learning plans in a range of settings.
David’s
recent work includes:
- Facilitating an organisational change process for the Government Network Services Branch (GNSB) of the Department of Finance & Deregulation
- Design & development of an IT Career Development Framework for Employment Systems Group (ESG), of DEEWR.
- Design of a L&D Strategy for the National Archives of Australia
- Design & delivery of an Executive Development And Coaching (EDAC) program for EL2s at the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Prior to commencing his own consultancy, LINK Learning Pty
Ltd, David was the Managing Consultant and Head of the Learning & Development
business unit for a local HR consultancy. Prior to this
David was the Professional Development Manager for CPA Australia
(ACT division). This organisation is the membership body
for professional accountants.
David has taught at the Australian
National University on “Accounting
and Financial Systems”, and at the University of Canberra
on “Promoting Positive Learning Environments”.
More recently David has taught at the postgraduate level at
the Australian National University, on organisational and individual
learning issues.
David has post-graduate qualifications in corporate learning,
including a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, majoring
in executive coaching and knowledge transfer within a corporate
setting. David has also successfully completed a Professional
Development Certificate in Coaching at the University of Sydney.
This certificate has enabled David to further his knowledge
and skills, particularly related to giving effective feedback
and coaching for improved performance.
Prior to moving into the field of
learning and development, in his early career David worked
for four years with Pricewaterhouse
in financial areas and with a firm of ACT accountants. This,
together with his Bachelor of Economics Degree from ANU, gives
him valuable experience in areas such as financial reporting,
budgeting, corporate governance and business strategy. |
